A imagem abaixo é de uma praça, na cidade de Jataí/GO - Brasil, onde os quatro lados da via tem o mesmo nome.

É correto unir os quatro lados, formando um quadrado?

Consequências:

  1. Como está, perfazem-se (óbvio) 4 elementos com o mesmo nome, a busca do OSM apresentará 4 locais.
  2. Se os lados forem unificados, com 1 nome. A pesquisa do OSM apontará 1 local.

Este caso não é um problema porquê uma rua pode consistir de várias linhas sim, e os motores de busca levam isso em consideração. Em geral eles só retornam mais de um resultado para uma rua se a classificação de alguma das linhas for diferente (por exemplo, uma linha com a etiqueta highway=tertiary e outra com highway=residential).

Mas se quiser, pode fundir essas linhas sim, já que elas possuem as mesmas etiquetas. Só precisaria adicionar a etiqueta area=no, já que as 4 linhas juntas formam uma área (i.e. um polígono fechado).

jgpacker valeu ela dica. Eu achava que a busca daria resultados diferentes, em relação a vias com várias linhas. Como o aseerel4c2, eu também prefiro como está. Aliás foi eu que separei as faces, pois náo estava legal.

Eu acho que a pessoa dividir a estrada em 4 partes nesta situação incomum para deixar claro que cada lado tem o mesmo nome. Gostaria de deixar como está. (usando Traduz Google entre Português e Inglês)
