Hi, I think there is a wrong name-tag to "Las Palmas" (Spain), which is actually the island of "Gran Canaria". Hence, would it be possible to rename "Las Palmas" to "Gran Canaria" ? Thanks asked 02 Feb '15, 08:38 albertbaur |

I don't think that it's named wrong - it's a rendering effect on the standard layer, I believe.

However, it is an interesting question as to why at this zoom level the names display as they do:

(it's been discussed in the style's Github repository but not here I believe)
Could original poster please provide a link where one can the the "wrong" name?
About the zoom level 6: At this level cities seem to rendered rather prominent, showing "Las Palmas de Gran Canaria" http://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/340783
