I want to install osm2pgsql on my windows 8 64 bit machine for my MSc project work to be completed soon, but I'm confused even reading the wiki page which version to use and how to install it also. please i need quick help. Thank you.

Use the most uptodate Cygwin version. None of the native windows versions work properly.

Obviously relatively few people use this version or read the wiki, as it has not been changed since I added info on Cygwin nearly 2 years ago. I think I am still using v43 myself as described there.

As it is not really easy to find … the actual binaries of this cygwin version can be reached this way (right?!): click on the most recent build number (e.g. "#95"), go to the "Artifacts" tab.
