How can i install and use an OSM map of Holland in my Garmin GPS Dakota 20. I have tried but it is for me not posseble to do this. Please help

I downloaded te map and then i unzipped the map. After that i unpakked the map en copied the map to a micro SD card. After that i put the SD card in my GPS, Dakota 20. My GPS does not see the map(SD card).

What have i done wrong or did i forget something?

it would be useful to know where (which website exactly) you downloaded your map and what its filename is.

Likely you will be helped by looking at the maaany old (already answered) Garmin questions – see the tags below your question. For example: basic-guide-to-download-osm-to-garmin-gps. For example get a pre-made map from http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ (osm_generic_gmapsupp.zip from the download options).

You need to copy the .img file into a "Garmin" directory on the SD card. See how-to-use-multiple-different-maps-on-garmin-dakota-20.
