3 days and 1,344 edits... how do i stop...?

Seriously, is there any way to see stats, like new items of data, how many changes are made per input, whether my brains will escape from my ears and start to strangle my lower intestines... that sort of thing...?

I'm a taxi driver... volumes of knowledge and all that...got a few things i need to look at, but they can wait until i get the easy basic stuff done first...

on day 3 of being a nube to this? i still struggling with the clunkiness of the forums(?) and stuff - need a help site to help me with the help site, but no worries it's all good. Crazy addictive and finally a way for me to share with "normal folks" all this crazy knowledge i learned to my detriment about which path connects to which bus stop, etc.

...doing this for like 34 hrs straight now... must...sleep...soon...

I think you've mistakenly posted a new answer instead of adding a comment. But the best advice would be: please stop and get some sleep. OpenStreetMap is not going anywhere. It will still be there in a day, in a week, in ten years, waiting for your expertise. Don't rush things and allow neighbouring mappers to check your edits for typos and tagging problems.

I think this is my favourite question yet asked on this site.

http://hdyc.neis-one.org/ for personal stats

Real (ok some people argue about this) OSM involves going outside in some form and surveying on the ground, as long as you do that, there should be no danger of your head exploding.

Like Simon said, make a stroll watching the clouds and grasses go by, its a relieve and clears your head of the dark clouds that could be drifting around. Keep walking one step at the time and it fills your head with new energy and the GPS wit traces.

There was no_more_mapping plugin for JOSM, which would help you. Alas, it was deleted by Frederik, so you would have to build it yourself.

Hello and welcome to OSM.

I'd say please just stop for a bit. While nothing is drastically wrong with what you've added it could be a whole lot better. If you go back on your edits and compare them to similar features already mapped you'll see a lot of anomalies. I've only looked at a few edits and can see several things that can be improved. Also comments are a great help in understanding what has been added, why, and from where.

Improvements can be made to comments, building and area outlines, phone numbers, check permission to use data from websites, (there are tags for areas, others for nodes (the landuse tag is area not node)) and why remove tags from ways.

So there's several hours needed to be spent going over those things. Regards.
