Dutch cycle paths with cars as guests.

2

I want to change existing streets in the Netherlands in to a cycle path even though cars still may use them. So streets are primarily for cyclists and cars can use them. But I can't find any suggestion over how to deal with these changes in marking the street.

It would be easier to give a reasonable answer if you could provide a link to the relevant traffic signs. Germany has something along such lines https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:bicycle_road (which would however require a motorcar=yes or similar to allow cars).

Naturally the place where you should be looking is the Dutch part of the wiki https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Netherlands and / or asking on the Dutch forum ( http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=12 ) or the mailing list ( https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-nl ) given that it is unlikely that this has not been discussed before if it is a common Dutch speciality.

Those roads are called "Fietsstraat" and are usually tagged with

-highway=residential or unclassified (depends on the situation)

-bicycle=designated

-cyclestreet=yes
