Hi all,

I'm completely new to OSM and was wondering whether people could give some tips on getting started with creating a map that allows calculation of routes between 2 locations but then checks whether they pass through certain markers. It then calculates a score for these markers and if high enough adjusts the route within that area. Am doing this for a play for people to play tours and things when on holiday. As far as I have seen it looks like I'd need to host my own OSM server to get near anything like this. Is there any easier way?

Thanks very much!

You do not mean a routing with "via" points, do you? There are public instances of routing software which supports via points (take care of each of the instances usage terms, if you plan to use them in your website).
