in jan. the 1th, in Lower Saxony, germany, two citys (Stadt Langen, Gemeinde Bederkesa) consolidate to one with a new name (Stadt Geestland). how can we renamed/ merged them? |

You should really participate in the corresponding threads on the German forum http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?id=24168 and http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?id=27493 Likely somebody is already planning to make the changes on the 1st. Not that merging boundaries (if present) or renaming cities is that complicated, but it is a task that needs coordination, knowledge of the local legal situation and local mapping conventions. |
