Version mismatch: Provided 1, server had: 2 of Node 2661733164

How do I find where this node is located?

I am editing with Safari. I would like to add more edits, but cannot get past the Error to save.

The more advanced OSM editor JOSM would allow you to solve this problem without needing to undo or completely loose your work. Since you write about "GIS" on your user page this might be the better option for you.

It's possible to find the affected node using a URL such as this:

https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/2661733164

From there there's a link to the changeset that created that version:

https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/26749467

The easiest way to continue editing is to "undo" back past your most recent change to the node and then save. To prevent the problem occurring in the future, save more often, don't try editing the same area on two browser sessions, and don't leave an iD edit session open for ages before making changes in it.

There is a problem logged with the iD editor to try and handle this situation better. Also, there on this help site it is explained how they managed to fix the problem by using browser tools to find the data that iD was sending to the server, removing the problem node, and uploading it separately - but it'll be quicker for you to undo back past the problem node, save, and then edit again.

Thanks, I do try to save often but I didn't realize my last edit session hadn't been accepted. I fixed the node, but it didn't resolve the issue until I deleted the two buildings.

Thanks for the timely responses.
