I used JOSM to tagged images on the map. There are many types of images that I want to tag, but just only one icon can show on the map. Is there anyway I can show different icon with different type of image? Can use any kind of plugins or any methods to solve? Addition: On the map, there are many geotagged photos, but I wanna use different icon to show different kind of photo. ex: some of photos are taken inside, the others are shoot outdoors. How can I use two kinds of icon to differentiate these two types of photos ? Regards. Samuel! asked 11 Nov '14, 17:21 sl915 aseerel4c26 ♦ |
I'm still guessing a bit about what you're trying to achieve, but internally JOSM uses MapCSS, so that's probably where I'd start looking for a solution. answered 12 Nov '14, 09:25 SomeoneElse ♦ |
Hi what do you mean by ‘There are many types of images that I want to tag, but just only one icon can show on the map’? The number of icons on a map depends on the number or zoom levels, not in the least the renderer. Please read this as well. https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/4907/can-i-insert-new-icon answered 11 Nov '14, 17:52 Hendrikklaas That answer refers to icons on the "standard" map, not to JOSM's display of things (as an overlay to the "standard" map).

Can you provide an example of what you want to achieve?
how do you expect that JOSM knows the difference between indoor and outdoor pictures ? Are you using 2 different layers for them ? Anyway, I do no not believe this functionality is yet available is JOSM (change icons per layer). So you might have to create an improvement request.
I don't know whether there is a option that I can change the icon by myself, or any possible way to choose different icon to show with geotagged photos on the map ?
Are you aware of the fact that you can choose to display thumbnails instead of this generic icon? And what is your ultimate goal? JOSM is a map editor, how do different icons help you editing the map?
