Instructions for Uploading OpenStreetMap to TomTom VIA 1505

0

Hi,

I have a TomTom VIA 1505 navigator. It has an SD port.

Can I use OpenStreetMaps on this device?

I currently live in Uzbekistan, and, unsurprisingly, TomTom does not sell a map for my locale.

If somebody has step by step instructions, a novice like myself can follow, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Uz-land

It's easyer with Garmin devices : the format has been reverse-engineered and mkgmap can turn osm data into Garmin format.

I just saw this link in answer to another recent help question and noticed it may help in producing ECW maps for your device. I, however have not checked it out as i don't have a TomTom.
