Hi I am currently using a mac ppc osx 10.5.8 and josm 3376 (old version prior to java 6) and cannot work out how to load the bing satellite imagery. There is no imagery tab at the top menu and there is no josm help file included either.
If there is a simple solution to install later java, i'll do that if necessary, but am happy to stay with 3376 if i can download the sat imagery.

3376 is from July 2010, and Bing imagery wasn't available for tracing by OSM until November 2010, and I don't think imagery was integrated with the core JOSM editor until build 3715 in January 2011. Unfortunately a quick web search suggests there isn't a newer Java available for PPC.

Thanks, I will check out the alternative java update, which seems best solution.

If that doesn't work for any reason a "plan b" might be to run JOSM in a virtual machine on the Mac.

I have seen JVM called SoyLatte in my travels so far. ... But I am going a bit cold on these solutions now and will use iD and Potlach2 instead for now as i will only to use this machine for a few months anyway and can use the library facilities too if necessary.
I appeciate your assistance.
