I am planning to use open Street Map API to get the list of pedestrian signals in USA.I find a way to tag the pedestrian signals But they are not displayed in the map, link text Is it possible to get the data using the API? And how accurate the data would be? asked 15 Sep '14, 06:12 prasannaarthib |
If there are no plans to update the data, or if there is a large area to query, the Overpass API would be the best way to query the data: either via the public Overpass API servers or your own Overpass server. Accuracy would be dependent on whether the mappers for a given area have collected crossing information. In general, the tagging would not include crossing information - but may be more complete for a given region. If you have an outside source of information about pedestrian signals, please review it on the Imports mailing list before any large updates to pedestrian signals. answered 15 Sep '14, 11:16 Mike N |
