GPS trails displayed as dotted lines

0

I've uploaded several GPS traces to OSM and previously they were rendered properly in the GPS trail layer. Now they're showing up as dotted lines. I haven't noticed any other trails do this, only ones that I posted. What could have happened?

Check frequency of points setting, if adjustable. or it may be lost signals, Does the area have high building, Cliffs, Ravines or a lot of tree cover. Is the device hidden in a pocket or bag and shaded by that or your body, put it high or a shoulder strap.

This has been noticed before

Mine appear dashed too. We can guess a few possibilities and it will be interesting to see why it happens.

When I downloaded one of @talexhv's gpx traces it looks like this in iD when I tick the 'Local GPX file' checkbox gpx

and when I change the tick to 'OpenStreetMapo GPS traces' instead the same trace shows like this. alt text

For what it's worth I'm seeing a slightly different issue with uploaded traces in iD now.
