Hello,

I want to use content of OpenStreetMaps in a paid iOS app. I'm planning on modifying the embedded version of the website so that it looks better on the iPhone and so that it is able to save parts of the map offline so they can be viewed without an internet connection. The license is fairly complex and I'm not sure wether this would be allowed or not.

Thanks in advance.

When you say "the content of OpenStreetMap" do you mean the map data or some map tiles available from the OpenStreetMap website? The licenses will vary.

It would help if you could describe in a bit more detail what you're actually planning to do.

See the OSM wiki about Apple iOS

There are some links to iOS apps where maybe some of the are opensource, or some frameworks are mentioned fto display OSM based maps on an iOS device.

Also search this FAQ site for iOS ... there have been some similar questions like yours already!
