cycle map key

what does "AV" mean against a cycle route (instead of the number) - eg rout 21 sudedenly becomes "AV" just north of Hailsham near the south coast

is there anywhere that gives a full list of these (for instance in the standard open map key a lot is not listed which appears on the map eg pylons/powerlines (at least i think they are))

If you look at one of the member ways, such as this one, you will see that that section is part of both NCN 21 and Avenue Verte (London-Paris). I guess which label displays on any particular section in more than one route is down to how data gets read and label collision works.
