Sorry, I don't know how better to ask that. Anyway, I want to add a truck stop with a diner in it as both "Fuel" and "Cafe." Is this possible?

Gratefully, buffalo_pete

Your question reminded me of my own earlier question, which I still consider open: http://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/2969/how-to-tag-a-multi-function-facility Fortunately, your specific case is probably a little more straightforward.

Map both features of the station independently. Here's an example of a QuikTrip that has a convenience store and fuel. This also has the advantage of providing rich detail and more accurate door-to-door navigation.

Your example makes sense and I hope it works out for buffalo_pete. The key is that you have two separate physical features that you can tag as different amenities. You may recall how we tried to solve the case when the same building was a hotel and a gym. I ended up tagging it as a hotel and then dropping a POI node for the gym inside the outline. I am not sure I won't go back to splitting the building down the middle (attached, of course), and tagging each part.

I think the elephant in the room is the question of why can't we tag the same feature as two different things?
