I live on Creekside Dr, Franklinton, NC 27525

My house doesn't show on openstreetmap GPS systems, so I took a look on the openstreetmap website.

If I search for my street/address, nothing comes up. If I go to the location, zoomed out I see my housing devlopment. Zoomed in, it goes away.

Zoomed Out (housing development is present): http://www.openstreetmap.org/export#map=16/36.1040/-78.5602

Zoomed In(housing development is gone): http://www.openstreetmap.org/export#map=17/36.10573/-78.56135

I'd really like to be able to use one of the free Android GPS systems, but they are not usable without the map being correct.

Does anyone know what is going on here or how to fix it?

Thanks,

Joe

The map tiles just hadn't been updated. It shows up at both zooms now.

The street in that area is called Creekview Drive. It always takes awhile before a feature shows up on all zoomlevels. Please note that depending on the Map application that you install on your Android Phone, the updates might take from a couple of days to a month or more. In some cases you might have to pay for updates. Check the webpage of the software that you want to install.
