Hi

I am working on Improving the Postcode system in India, for which I need the lat/ lon of the Postcode Boundaries.

Is there a way to get this .

I am working on giving a special code for Important POI on the Map so that its easily identifiable.

Appreciate this .

Cheers,

Krishna yogi

Hi Krishna Yogi, please tell us a bit more, some questions, what’s your goal and for whom, OSM ? Consider assistance of a governamental organisation as well. They should have some data.

Did you try to get in contact with the local mapping community ? There is a forum (http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=65) without too much activity, but you could also look at IRC or a mailing list (https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-in)
