Hi,

in Limerick - especially along its main O'Connell Street - there are a number of bollards shaped like cylindric columns, diameter maybe 20 cm.

These bollards can block / unblock side streets by being moved up or down electrically.

So, sometimes cars can drive down those side streets, at others it's pedestrians and cyclists only.

What's the accepted way (if there is any) of dealing with this?

Use those tags:

The key bollard can be used to describe a barrier=bollard in greater detail. See the linked wiki page for suggestions how to add even more details (opening times, …).
