I have made edits to OSM via Potlatch 2, but the edits are not showing up in the map when I reload it. How do I get my changes to take in the base map that everyone sees? Thanks!

Could you please give or ad a link of your work area ?

Please see i-have-made-edits-but-they-dont-show-up-on-the-map. Yours is likely the usual problem of caches and rendering duration or that you are looking at a map which does not the kind of object which you have edited. This is likely not editor-dependent.

Please comment if that helps and solved this question. If not, please provide further details (e.g. a location, changeset or object link).

Also note that yesterday an update to the map style was made, so the renderers are very busy.

Is there a page/blog/whatever that mentions maintenance & changes like that? It would be useful to know that the reason something isn't showing up is due to planned updates/changes/fixes/blah.

There's http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Platform_status , but that's only updated manually (and hasn't been for the recent rendering style deployment, probably because nothing actually stopped working)
