I'm hoping someone can help me out. I just upgraded from Osmand to Osmand+. In Osmand, when I followed the steps here: https://code.google.com/p/osmand/wiki/HowToGpxRecord, I got the Logging Services icon as an option to set in the Configure Screen menu. Not any more (since upgrading). I went through the same steps as far as enabling the Logging Servics and Sleep Mode plugin. GPX recording seems to be working (gpx icon can be turned on with configure screen and seems to work). But no Logging Services icon, which I kind of prefer. Any advice.

While I'm asking questions-how can I force my recorded GPX files and maps to save to my SD card, rather than the phone's internal memory?

THanks all.

If you click the cog icon on the map screen I think you'll be able to switch on the Logging Services icon if you've already enabled the plugin.

Edit: Screenshot here (Flickr)

Update: The icon has been removed according to this thread on the OsmAnd forums
