I have saved some new ways - a recently created (named) residential street and a new canal footbridge. Presumably these will eventually appear on the main OpenStreetMap. There is no review process. You save them and they are in the database. It will take a little longer before you see them on the site though. Usually they'll be visible within a couple of minutes if you clear tiles cached by your browser. answered 27 Jun '14, 14:20  EdLoach ♦ |
There's a long and detailed answer about how the main map gets updated here. It takes a bit longer when there have been recent stylesheet updates (which has happened recently). Thanks for the detailed answers. I cleared the cache. The changes didn't immediately show up, BUT ..... Simple reason = I hadn't zoomed in enough. I had assumed that that if was able to see other streets of similar status, I should be able to view my own additions. you may need to zoom the main map to the maximum extent to see such changes as minor roads, tracks and footpaths. answered 27 Jun '14, 14:43 stephenwilks 3 Different zoom levels are rendered independantly - it's quite normal to see lower levels rendered first (they need less work to do).
