So there's this guy who's changed a lot of tags on the map that i added. he's changed one main highway into a bridge. I'm not sure if he's doing it on purpose or if he doesn't know what he's doing. Is there some way to get osm to revert the changes he has made?

You should definitely talk to the guy first. Don't worry, if things need to get reverted it is still possible to do so a week later. But often a few polite words between mappers can fix things quickly.
