In addition to Bing there are a number of other sources of aerial imagery that OSM is allowed to use. The number of sources available from the Imagery menu of your editor depends on where in the world you are, but you should be able to use Mapbox satellite imagery in Algiers. Have you turned it off by accident?
Interestingly, in iD, Potlatch 2 and JOSM I do see Bing imagery in Algiers. I'm in the UK, if that's relevant.
