I recently posted a question on using OSM maps in art and one answer referred to legal restrictions as they apply for the use of raw data. What is raw data on OSM? Does raw data refer to any data collected and on OpenStreetMaps in map form (the actual maps as they appear on line) or is it something else? |

Well, and if your question is just a clarification question for the old question, please post it as "comment" in the old question (in this case delete this question afterwards). Please ask a new "question" only if it is a new topic (e.g. "what is OSM raw data?") or much more specific than the old question (although you also may edit your old question if there were not many answers and comments based on it).
As I understand your text here it would be best a "comment" to an answer in the old question thread.
Thanks for the info (I assume now OSM means OpenStreetMap), I have edited the above title and question. I have also edited my comments to be a clarification in my other question "Use of OpenStreetMap maps in art." in the add a comment part of the person who answered my question. There is also an add a comment space under my original question but I'm assuming this is for any additions to my original query. Thanks again.
