I added "no parking here" to an address, when I went to update the local shops new names, the "no parking here" has come up. Sorry.

I don't know how to fix it, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance :)

Mistakes happen, not a problem. Everbody of the 'seniors' here started as you with try-and-error, so it's not a reason to feel ashamed ;) The opposite is the case: Thanks for contributing to your local area of OSM :)

I'm guessing that you're talking about here and here? I don't see "no parking here" anywhere - what I suspect has happened is that the first time you save some changes the editor asks you for a description (which you entered), and the second time you save that text defaults to what you entered previously. You can overtype that "changeset comment" text with whatever you like - it just defaults to the previous value to allow you to do several saves without typing it in again.

The changeset comment text doesn't appear on the map anywhere - it's just information for other mappers. You can look at your previous edits by going here:

and can see how the changeset comment appears to other mappers here:

Yes, that's what I've done. Phew! I didn't break it.

If that's the case, how can I tell other mappers that there is no parking in Falkland Place.

It really is an issue.

Thanks :)

by not mapping amenity=parking ? :-)

or by tagging the street as parking:lane:both=no_parking

see http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:parking:lane
