Could you perhaps explain a bit about what runkeeper is, what maps you used to see there and what you now see instead?
Also, have you asked whoever's in charge of runkeeper about it?

I guess a smartphone app is meant: The android version seems to use google maps. the iOS version may use Apple's maps, I do not really recognize it. I've heard that Apple partly uses OSM data (not actual map tiles!). But @DenHolmes likely can answer best how he arrived at OSM.
