Editing with iD no longer possible after opening OpenCycleMap.org

When I'm editing using iD and then open OpenCycleMap.org in an extra tab, I can no longer edit in iD. The selection occurs, but the details in the left column don't appear. If I close all tabs and re-open I can edit again
