You are asking a general question. Let me try a general answer (note that I am not involved in HOT, just read about some activations in the past): You can look in the documentation of a HOT project in our wiki. Often the sources are mentioned. You may also dig out the old HOT communication of the time when the activation was running. Keep in mind that, I think I remember some notices like this, the satellite imagery is sometimes only to be used for this activation, for a specified amount of time. This may not be always documented (not important during the activation). So, please make sure using the satellite images now is still okay, if you plan to use them. |
I'm doing a validation project and we have been using HOT damage data in area of Philippines. I wanted to know which satellite image was used just to check its cloud coverage. I have only found info on the Landsat images they used, but they seem not be the most appropiate ones to assign damage at building footprint level. I wonder if other very high resolution images have been used. Thanks!
