Hi all!

The map for Greece is in Greek, with Greek characters... Would it be possible to download this map with English characters, for Android (MapFactor)?

Many thanks!

If a place has names in other languages they will typically be present in the OSM data and it depends solely on your application if they will be displayed or not.

The "standard" map style simply uses what is in the "name" tag, for example the MapQuest Open style uses English names where present.

In other words it depends on what MapFactor does with the data.

Re the Mapfactor part, this previous question covers the "when is it updated" bit:

You'd have to talk to MapFactor about producing a version with English names, though.

Of course, plenty of other Android applications are available, many with more open map formats.
