I found the problem. When the Offroad Modus is on in Opera you can't save. Offroad off and it works!

I'm guessing that "offroad modus" might actually mean "offline mode" here?

No "offroad" modus is right. It is a modus to save download data amount. It is made for slow Internet connections.

Without more information: just try it again (exist, restart iD, reset data if iD asks).

Looks like a bug in iD (no proper error message). If it is an error from the server, iD should tell about this more clearly. You can report bugs in iD there but you need to register an account at an external company – not your OSM account.

I closed the website and opened it new but still same error message.

Another problem. If I type "C" I get an "O". I can't write "rock". Even when I copy the word "rock" and paste it into ID I see "rook".

Which browser are you using?

For other problems, please ask a new question. By the way, I recommend to use JOSM for serious editing.

Opera stable 20. With IE 11 I can't excess the tap to choose between ID and Potlach 2.
