Hello all,
I am new to all of this and I am faced with a issue.

I like the freizeitkarte maps and I use the outdoor TYP file that they provide. I am not comfortable with how the map renders the "residential areas" – that intense grey makes me sad :).

I would like to swap it with the color used for "cultivated land" for example. I have installed TYP viewer but I can't get the hang of it.

Can someone help with this?

How? Please explain your solution so that others can benefit, too.

Use a TYP Editor to edit TYP file located in folder containing all .imgs. Both TYPviewer and TYPWiz5 allow you to quickly locate the appropriate TYP file.

Restart Basecamp/Mapsource and enter CTRL G to clear previous cache and redraw the map.

There are various tools to replace a TYP file in a gmapsupp, ie Gmaptool
