We live on a corner on a 4 acre plot. The GPS records always try to guide people into an area of our boundary instead of guiding them to our entice. It is a busy road and causes confusion. Can I change the GPS location for our property entrance? Many thanks

Hi, it would help if you could indicate where you are. Go here :- http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=2/54.5/58.4 zoom in to your location, copy and post the link.

You can tag your entrance and your driveway. You should also tag the house's number and/or name as that is what the satnav user is likely to put in when looking for your place.

Note that not all satnavs use data from OSM. Unless you can convince all your visitors to use an OSM-based satnav, you might want to send the fix to the other map providers too. All map data providers enable you to fix problems with the map, altough none are as straightforward as OSM.

Seeing that you've not made any edits I advised to post a link to your problem area. Perhaps then someone can take a look. Otherwise as Vincent de P... says you can DIY, but that will involve at least some dipping into OSM mapping. Regards
