I know a few residential apartment buildings that totally unoccupied. There is nobody inside, the whole block is closed with fences. I guess that in a few year they will be destroyed and a new bigger building will be built instead.

How should I tag such unoccupied residential buildings?

Hi what about the existing tags, building=residential / apartments with residential=disused / abandoned ? If the area is surrounded by fences consider construction as well.
