I am mapping parts of Berlin, WI and have run into an issue with a park (as I have with other areas in the past) with how to name it. Locally, it is known as 'East Side Park', but its official name is Nathan Strong Park, according to the city of Berlin. What name should I give to it?

Most mappers would likely use name for the official name and loc_name for the local name. It's a grey area though, and at your (the mapper's) discretion - if you feel that the local name is so well established that somebody asking for directions to "Nathan Strong Park" would be met with a shrug, then maybe you should use name for the name that almost everyone knows, and record the official name as a side note under official_name.
