I have created POIs over the years using TomTom, Garmin, Osmand and other Sat Navs, I now have so many it's difficult to keep track of them.

I would like to display them in OSM, but from what I've read so far it won't do it, I already can convert to KML so I can see them in Google Earth, but I'm not happy with the resulting overlapping of the push pins, unfortunately Google in their wisdom made maps so it doesn't recognise KML files.

What I need is to be able to see "clearly" how the positions relate to eachother, it's just a hobby, but something which keeps bugging me to figure out.

Thanks in advance.

Kev.

If you want to display some information on top of an OSM map you might find something like uMap or TileMill useful.

Hi welcome to OSM and thanks that you like to contribute :)

First I highly recommend to get in contact with your local OSM community, as they can help you by reviewing/adding/commenting your dataset and teach you in person on the import process http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Contact

Please also make sure that the legal aspects (source etc.) of your material is ok, then you can use e.g. the JOSM Editor (with OpenData plugin) to convert your data to OSM model. Please be aware that the OSM community is very skeptical about imports, so really spend a lot of time on reviewing/merging your data before you upload and merge them.

P.S: If you only want to display your POIs on top of a OSM baselayer, you can use desktop applications as Marble, QGIS, ... or as webmaps using Leaflet, OpenLayers, ...
