I'm kinda new here, so I was wondering do they guarantee accuracy of a mapped place?

Nothing is guaranteed.

OpenStreetMap is a project that lives from the contributions of volunteers. We trust that they do their best to add good data but some may be more diligent than others, and the quality (and completeness) of the map differs from place to place.

(Taking this further, "100% correct" is certainly a goal that no map in the world can ever reach.)

So yes, this is "like wikipedia".

…adding: likely other data providers also will not guarantee you anything (maybe they would do if you would pay even higher sums). In many parts of the world the OSM data already is better than other map providers (what is "better" depends on your needs of course). You can have a look at a map comparision to get an impression (note that not everything which is available in the geodata is shown on a map - you notice that e.g. when doing routing). Side note: please do not use other maps for OSM contribution!
