what do you mean by "the correction is added"? Where? Which URL? Which map? Which service?

The correction is essentially immediate when you've uploaded/saved your edit.

Depending on which map you are looking at, it can take a widly differing amount of time till you see the changes. Our "standard" map should typically show changes within minutes (you may have to clear your browser cache), other may take days to weeks.

If you are unsire if what you edited actually took effect, you can always turn on the "Map data" overlay on openstreetmap.org and inspect the data there.
