I'm not sure why this has changed, maybe someone can help me. It used to be when I went from zoom level 19 to zoom level 20 the background image would go from satellite imagery to flyover aerial imagery, this is no longer the case. Now when going from zoom level 19 to 20 (or above) no new imagery data is loaded and the image data used in level 19 is just scaled up. I have tried this in several major cities where aerial flyover imagery use to be present/loaded. I have looked up the areas on Bing Maps and the flyover imagery is present there but not available on OSM/ID Editor. Does anyone know why this has changed or have any solutions? I'm mapping in Dallas, Texas, United States.

Ah yes, I did come across that post. To your knowledge has this happened before, maybe some sort of update on Bing's side, if so was the issue ever resolved?

I have not noticed Bing remove a zoom level before, but I have noticed that locally to me the highest zoom level is sometimes significantly older than the next-highest. Here's an example where z19 shows the current road layout and z20 the old:

I have noticed this before as well, I often will zoom in and out after adding items to make sure that what I added is still in fact there.

Note: there is good and current imagery for TX available from other sources, you should simply use that if possible, see https://osmlab.github.io/editor-layer-index/ (should be available in iD too).

People have noticed elsewhere that some high-zoom Bing imagery has been removed.
