OpenCityMap, are you kidding? I used to like your maps. I just don´t understand it. There is about 6 inches of EMPTY space in your title bar, which could hold your search bar, but you got to place it in the map anyway? Please change this again! It becomes unusable. asked 01 Dec '13, 00:37 abr01 aseerel4c26 ♦ |

I thought the same thing at first, but it's worth noting that what it's replacing is a search field that filled the entire height of the window. The new one is strictly smaller (by quite a bit). Aside from the fact that it goes away when you log in, it's technically less intrusive than before... it just feels bigger because it's not cutting out the whole vertical slice. answered 01 Dec '13, 08:45 blahedo It is just horrible from an esthetic point of view. It should be possible to get rid of it by one click!

sorry abr01 - apparently some people here decided that the new design is better than the old one (link as of now). In principle you can report bugs at https://trac.openstreetmap.org/ (component: website), but they may get just "closed". Thank you anyway.
@Richard: (at your comment over at the other questions that it is just a half inch) I guess that not vertical but horizontal 6 inches is meant which is true if you use a wide browser window (or some other not that standard settings): 6 inches.
@Richard: I have re-opened it since the old closing comment was not correct (where is the other question if it should be a "duplicate"?)
@aseerel4c26: yes, I know that if you stretch the browser window wide enough then it's 6 inches or 6 miles or however big your screen is. The point is that not everyone has a screen/window that large.
