From this answer OSMand updates their data around once a month. The search powering the main www.openstreetmap.org website should update within 5 minutes of you adding the data so you can check if you have entered it correctly by doing a search there. For a debug view of the search data you can use nominatim.openstreetmap.org and click the details link to see how the address was generated. answered 27 Nov '13, 04:50  twain thanks for the help (27 Nov '13, 04:57) Johnc 2 normally, Osmand's map files are refreshed even three times in a month. You will need to be far more specific. Each product has its own update cycle.
the app i'm using is OSMand. i've added some addresses to OSM and was wondering how long before the app will see them.
