Hello, I would like to download dynamic parts of openstreetmap and add information offline. Is that possible and if yes, how can I do that? With dynamic I want to say that it should be zoomable. The part of the map should contain a few town which are close together. If that all is possible, what is the easiest way to add information for specific sites? Thanks for your help. Marcel

Could you explain a bit more what you mean by "dynamic"?

With "dynamic" I wanted to say that it should be zoomable.

Your question remains unclear. What programs do you want to use? Or do you think of also using a new program? What is "to add information"? Please describe your use case in more details.

Ok, I try to explain it a bit more. I would like to have a part of the openstreetmap, for example of a town. The file/map should have the same options as the large map of openstreetmap has, the possibility to zoom in and out. After getting such a part of the map, I would like to add information to specific places and mark them. This second part I would like to to offline.

Type "marker" in the text search box on the top of this FAQ site.

There are many possibilities to display a zoomable map with tile graphics from internet or from a localhost.

Then you have to decide how you want to save the markers you added. Do you only want to store text?

Maybe you want something like a "private" system with features similar to Notes ?

Did you notice that "offline" is an issue here? Update: Ah, now I see it you mention "localhost".
