I tried to search in the help but I can't find anything how to mark a mountain peak in Potlatch 2. I tried to make just a dot, I tried to make an area and I tried to find a sign in add new points. Why is there no sign in natural?

The correct tag would be natural=peak (usually as a node). But Potlatch 2 does indeed not recognize this tag.

You can report this bug on trac by creating a new ticket (login with your regular OSM account) and selecting the potlatch2 component.

Since Potlatch2 is no longer developed filing a creating a ticket there most likely won't change anything

So the best editor is JOSM? But Potlatch 2 is better than iD or I am wrong?

@ivolino: There is no "best editor". It depends on what you want and what/who you are. I think it is relatively(!) uncontroversial that (for an advanced user) JOSM has the most features, Potlatch2 fewer and iD fewest. But it depends on what you want. Also the features are subsets of each other (iD has features which Potlatch2 has not). See should-i-use-potlatch-or-josm.

This does not feel right. Peaks usually have their own name, whereas the whole mountain might have several peaks.

Based on the Mountains proposed feautre, I see that people are using Massifs and Mountain Ranges to mark the mountains in Austria.

Unfortunately, I have a hard time finding them in OsmAnd. We can only hope things improve in time.
