Only one Map visible in MapManager

I downloaded several maps of the USA. (I must split the U.S. maps because my memory card has only 528MB.) They have been installed by MapManager as OSM generic routable.gmap/ OSM generic routable-1.gmap etc. When I open Base Camp now, there always appears just one map, is this normal? Must be each map deleted from the MapManager before the next can be viewed? Thanks for your help.

This problem is most probably due to both maps having the same product ID or FID. You will need to use a special software tool to change this before installing the second map. I use JaVaWa GMTK.

This issue is well documented in the main OSM Wiki and can be found using this search. Many providers of OSM Maps for Garmin also have info on their sites. (eg http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ FAQ)
