What happens if

It does appear in Openstreetmap. It will appear in the final CC-BY-SA dump (a planet dump with the full history). But it will not appear in the future ODBL database. And future a ODbL contributor will add it back in from appropriate sources. 1
I'm wondering where this leaves you in the situation where you created derived data from a source under CC-BY-SA, but that source does not agree to the new CT. That would seem to mean that you cannot reasonably agree to the new CT without removing all ways you touched where you used the source. If you could not identify all your edits in this category, does this imply that every way you have ever edited will need to be removed?

Well if you haven't agreed then sure it will be removed, but it shouldn't be that hard to find those CC-by-SA changesets.

Ebenezer: there's a recent thread on the legal-talk@ mailing list about per-changeset relicensing which might address that concern.

This is not a forum style board where new replies appear underneath older ones but a stackoverflow style help board where replies are sorted by "helpfulness". So could you please change your posting from answer to comment? That way it will appear underneath my answer and the context will stay intact. If my answer resolves your question please accept the answer which markes the question closed and removes it from the pool of questions that still need an answer.

The faq http://help.openstreetmap.org/faq/ suggests you should be able to comment as long as you don't have a negative karma.
