hi,

Is it possible to export a projection file with the image? I have exported a jpg however when i load it into Globbal Mapper it does not know the correct co-ordinates so randomly places the image. Any advise will e much appriciated

AFAIK the export tab does not provide the means to generate a world file (e.g., .jpw).

However, you can use Maperitive to generate bitmaps with associated world (projection) files: either as a viewer of tiles (a webmap) or together with rendering of local data. Other tools which can be used include Kosmos and Quantum GIS.
