When selecting the cyclemap there are countoru lines or isopleths in the map on the osm-web, but in the download there are none - I am trying to donwload a map from mid part of Norway? I am looking for a vector map, svg or pdf.

The OSM database does not map contours. The contours on the cycle map are generated from the SRTM data set from NASA, which you can download outside OSM.

OpenCycleMap also uses other open sources for contours in areas N of the area covered by the SRTM mission. Some of these have been covered by the OpenCycleMap blog.

Note the SRTM data only goes up to 60° north. So it won't cover all of Norway.

There is other height data available, eg ASTER which goes up 83° north. I think OpenCycleMap uses this for some areas.
