What does it say on the error page that you get?

hello,

i have the same problem, i will export the osm.file from Barcelona and i got a blank page too.

http://api.openstreetmap.org/api/0.6/map?bbox=2.0823,41.3454,2.222,41.4445

Please use http://overpass-api.de/api/map?bbox=2.0823,41.3454,2.222,41.4445 instead. That is a so-called mirror server. It has the same data as the main server.

The main server itself is not designed for large queries of more than 50'000 objects, and your area has roughly 192'000 objects.

@robau002 - your problem is likely to be that you're trying to extract "live" data for far too big an area. What are you actually trying to do? Some of the answers to previous "export" questions may help.
