Hi, We're trying to implement Nominatim with Tiger. Finished all the Nominatim setup, but when I was going to download the Tiger data I noticed the service is down due to a government shutdown. Is there any chance to get some mirror for those Tiger files? Does anyone have a file to share so I can do some testings while the shutdown gets resolved? Thanks, Marcos F. Villa |
https://census-backup.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html and http://forever.codeforamerica.org/Census-API/shutdown-2013.html both have some TIGER files, but no where has a complete copy to my knowledge. 2
I think those from codeforamerica are good enough. Thank you very much.

I know this is old, but in case it helps anyone else in the future... You can find a copy on our mirror server, we attempt to mirror all census.gov Geodata to our server from their FTP servers as it is released. It is available as FTP and HTTP, so it can serve as a direct drop-in for the official census server. To use it with HTTP, replace https://www2.census.gov/ with http://mirror1.geocat.com/census.gov/ To use it with FTP, replace ftp://ftp.census.gov/ or ftp://ftp2.census.gov/ with ftp://mirror1.geocat.com/census.gov/ Please feel free to check if it is missing anything you need and let us know. |
